What our students say

Travel & Tourism Student Michelle Parr

Michelle Parr

Through the presentation preparation I did during my College programme, as well as additional visits and qualifications, my confidence grew and I was able to leave College and secure my dream job! Working as an oversees rep means that no two days are the same. Whether I am doing an airport run, guiding an event or giving a welcome presentation, my job is always varied. It is an amazing experience to work within different cultures, facing different situations every day.”

Former pupil of Bridgwater College and Bridgwater College Academy, Michelle is a Holiday Rep for Thomas Cook and has worked in Turkey, Benidorm and Tenerife.

Travel & Tourism Student Rebecca Wallbank

Rebecca Wallbank

The personal highlight of this course has been the work experience opportunities. I have had placements in a country house hotel and day spa, and a major tourist attraction in Cornwall. I really enjoyed all of them as I had a lot of contact with tourists in various customer service roles; people are generally more happy and relaxed when on holiday and I like working in that environment.”

Rebecca Wallbank, former pupil of Chilton Trinity Technology College in Bridgwater, has just completed her full-time studies and has the offer of an apprenticeship with a popular travel company.
