What our students say
“My favourite moment while at College was being part of Team BC Activators as Head of Delivery. This position required me to run the sport sessions, encourage others to take up exercise, while gaining planning, organisational and coaching skills. This has complemented my area of study as I could draw on modules from my course such as health promotion, sport and society and sports coaching.”
Tom completed the Sports Science HND and has progressed to Plymouth University to study Strength and Conditioning.
“I’ve always had a passion for sport but when I left school I trained to be a plumber. Realising that this wasn’t the right career, I decided to return to College and pursue my dream of becoming a sports teacher. I have had to juggle my learning around childcare and home commitments but with the support of the tutors this has been achievable and not a problem.”
Matt Beck has completed the HND in Sport and Exercise Science after an Access to Higher Education course. He intends to progress to study a BSc (Hons) in Sport Studies and achieve his ultimate ambition of teaching sport at secondary level.
