Our staff are highly experienced and supportive, our facilities are outstanding, and all students get to work in our professional television studio and digital editing suites. Subjects covered include video production, storyboarding, shooting and editing. Students will have the chance to get involved in making TV studio programmes, documentaries and music videos.

On top of this students participate in various visits and residential trips within the creative industry and may also have the opportunity to take part in relevant work experience. In the past students have worked closely and developed strong relationships with organisations such as the Engine Room and the Young Persons Film Council.
What our students say
“I loved the creative freedom given to me on this course. You are given all the skills in your first year to work independently in your second. I now feel I have the expertise and knowledge to work freelance; I am currently working on a skating DVD, which I edited completely by myself.”
Alex completed the Media Production Foundation Degree is currently working as a freelance filmmaker.
“What an amazing year! Since starting the course I have gained freelance work with the BBC, worked on feature and short film sets and worked alongside two well-known Hollywood actors! I have also been very fortunate to host a breakfast show. I have made some amazing contacts in the first year of my course and am excited to see what my second year will bring. This course has definitely helped.”
Jake Hodge is studying the Foundation Degree in Media Practice and on completion hopes to progress to the BA (Hons) top-up Degree at Bournemouth University.
