A Level (Advanced Level)

The most traditional route for students wishing to go on to university is to attend college for a two year A Level course, usually between the ages of 16 and 18.

Access to Higher Education

These courses are for anyone who is interested in returning to education but lacks confidence because you do not have 'qualifications'. The Access course is designed to meet your needs by helping you to gain new skills and qualifications. You can use the qualification to gain a place in higher education or to enhance your career prospects.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)

This programme has British and international recognition for entry into a very wide range of higher education courses and professional training options. It is especially good for entry into law, medicine and journalism.

Bridgwater College is currently the only state-funded college in Somerset to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
