What our students say

Computing & IT Student Patrick Moore

Patrick Moore

Computers always made me a little nervous but with the support of my tutor, a group of small likeminded people and hands-on practical activity, I’ve learnt a great deal. The course was fascinating and made me feel confident in the use and maintenance of computers and has inspired me to sign up to more courses.”

Patrick is a retired carpenter and completed the course Buy, Fix and Use a Computer at our Angel Place Centre.

Computing & IT Student Michael Andison

Michael Andison

After a brief ‘retirement’ I have decided to go back into the pub trade. But things have moved on now, and everything is done by computer. I didn’t want to get left behind, so enrolled back at College — I can’t believe what I’ve learned already!”

Retired publican Michael completed the ECDL Essentials course to learn computing basics. He’s about to go back into the trade and is looking forward to putting his new skills into practice when writing letters, menus and promotional material.
