The scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated their ability to perform at a high level within sport. Scholarships are awarded on a case by case basis with each application reviewed by an independent internal panel.
Scholarships are not limited to our seven Team BC Performance programmes and we welcome applications from a range of athletes with proven talent or potential. The scholarships are valued up to a maximum of £1,000 and are used to subsidise Team BC Performance fees, courses fees, transport costs and additional fees related to playing or training. Scholarships are only available to students of Bridgwater College who are under 19 on August 31 on their year of enrolment.Scholarship Application Form
What our students say
“As a British swimmer, I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to compete for the College at the National Championships. My favourite part of College has to be the practical learning aspect of my course and being able to put classroom learnt skills to the test in a professional environment.”
Former pupil of Chilton Trinity Technology College in Bridgwater, Charlie hopes to work part-time in the fitness industry whilst focussing on his swimming career with Team GB where he recently won a bronze medal at the European Games in Baku.
“All sports staff have been extremely encouraging throughout my course. My greatest achievement during College was taking part in the first London to Paris Cycle Challenge to raise money to help beat blood cancers. I would definitely recommend taking part, as you gain personal and team achievement, alongside helping a good cause.”
Former pupil of Churchill Academy, Ben hopes to gain employment in the fitness industry on completion of his course.
