What our students say

Fashion & Textiles Student Hannah Hart

Hannah Hart

Whilst on the Level 3 Art and Design course I did a week’s work experience with Chanii B shoes and at the end of my course I was offered an Apprenticeship opportunity with them doing a Design Apprenticeship. I have loved art and textiles since I was a child and had dreamed of being shoe designer, so this was the perfect opportunity to follow my dreams and gain first-hand experience. I work as a junior design assistant and hope to continue here on completion of my Apprenticeship.”

Formerly of Robert Blake Science College, is now studying a Design Apprenticeship with Chanii B Shoes.

Fashion & Textiles Student Amy Elves

As part of the programme I studied at College I was able to build a strong portfolio of work. This helped me to beat off hundreds of applicants for my current role. After my employer saw the work I had produced they widened my job role enabling me to illustrate for the magazine as well. Seeing each new issue, which sells around 25,000 copies each month, gives me such a sense of accomplishment.”

Former pupil of Bridgwater College and Robert Blake Science College in Bridgwater, is a Design Assistant and Illustrator for Wedding Ideas magazine.
