College confirmed as top performing state college in Somerset
Recent Government league tables published for A level and equivalent qualifications confirm that Bridgwater College is the top performing state institution in Somerset.
The Achievement and Attainment league tables, which are based on ‘average points per student entry' are for the last academic year and include A levels, BTEC Nationals and other Level 3 qualifications.
Fiona McMillan, Principal, said "We are delighted by this news. Our results last year for both A levels and BTEC Nationals were the best in our history and the Government league tables give us further reason for celebration. We are confident that our success is attributed to the excellent calibre of our staff, the significant investment we place in our resources, and the solid partnerships we build with our students and their parents. If our record breaking Taster and Open Evening attendances are anything to go by, we are going to see a big surge in applications for places this year, as more and more students seek to be part of the success story at Bridgwater College."
