Bridgwater College’s Cannington Golf Course is to launch a new Senior Morning for over 60s on Thursdays to encourage more people to play golf on a regular basis.
The sessions, which will start on Thursday 16 January from 10am – midday, will cost just £5 per player £5 for an unlimited number of golf balls on the Driving Range, plus a free hot drink. Players will also benefit from the new Power Tees, which means they will not need to bend down to put the ball on the tee each time.
Ron Macrow, the Golf Centre’s Professional said,
“Sessions like these will give players regular practise from a teed ball, which will help them to develop a swinging hit rather than a hitting swing. The Power Tee is also beneficial to golfers who tend to hit the ground behind the ball or take very deep divots.”
The Golf Course is also holding a community afternoon on Sunday 19 January, from 1pm to 4pm at the Driving Range. Each player will receive a free basket of balls, plus golfing tips and advice. There is no need to pre-book, just turn up.
