The Walled Gardens of Cannington Introduces an Art Trail to the 'Sustainable Garden' - Bridgwater & Taunton College

A brand-new and exciting Art Trail, known as ‘Upcycled Art’ has been added to The Walled Gardens of Cannington in conjunction with the newly created ‘Sustainable Garden’.

The Walled Gardens of Cannington will launch their ‘Upcycled Art’ project in conjunction with their Easter Weekend trail from Friday 14 – Monday 17 April, 10am – 5pm. Activities for will include; name the bunnies, Easter quiz, Easter trail and the opportunity to explore the all new and exciting sustainability garden. Tickets cost £5 per child, accompanying adults go free.

The artwork is designed by a local engineer who collects unwanted and unloved objects and reassembles them to create an alternative usage for them. His artwork predominantly consists of comprising materials together to create fantastic features in the garden to enhance the outdoor space. Previous examples of his work include; turning an unwanted bath tub into an outdoor sofa and the use of an old washing machine drum as an outdoor fire pit. The ‘Upcycled Art’ project will be available to view at the Gardens over the summer months.
