The international students, who are studying a 12 month Food Technology course at Bridgwater College, were not only able to witness first hand, but also be involved in the judging of categories including Sweet and Savoury Bakery Products, which were showcased by a variety of local food businesses and manufactures.

Julie Harris, Course Leader for Food Technology at Bridgwater College said,

“This was a great opportunity for the students to be a part of this prestigious event and experience the high standard of products that are produced here in the south west. The experience helped the group understand and appreciate what the judges are looking for in a product and what every food manufacturer should be striving to achieve. For them to take part and give their views on packaging, taste, texture and appearance on a wide variety of products has been a real privilege.”
