Students to raise money for charity with RAG Day 2015 - Bridgwater & Taunton College

Students and staff at Bridgwater College will once again be raising money for three worthwhile charities when they celebrate their annual Raise and Give (RAG) Day on Thursday 17 December.

An action-packed day has been planned at the College, with a Zombie Apocalypse, crazy golf, bubble football and a DJ showcase to name a few. Students and staff will also be dressing up for the day with prizes for the craziest and most imaginative costumes.

PC Colette Ranson (Avon and Somerset Police), Mark Nettle (Director of Student Services, Bridgwater College), Molly Blake (President, Bridgwater College Student Union), Martin Callow (Southwestern Ambulance Service).

Music students will be putting on a fantastic music concert on Cornhill from 1.30pm. A Level Music students will perform a classical repertoire, BTEC Music students have planned a set of Christmas hits. The concert will conclude with a selection of well-known covers by the Music Academy. Everyone is welcome to come along and support the students and donate to the chosen charities we are supporting this year.

The College is working hard with the police, the Southwest Ambulance Service and Trading Standards to ensure that a fun but safe time is had by all.

Mark Nettle, Director of Student Services at Bridgwater College said,

“We’re looking forward to another great RAG Day with lots going on in College for our students.
