New season for Football coaching course league - Bridgwater & Taunton College

On the 10th of November a game between Level 3A's Football Coaching and Level 2 Football Coaching took place with an exciting game of goals, hat tricks and surprises with the game ending in a 5 – 1 win for the level 3A's.

The level 3A's started the game strong, with their link up play, depth in midfield and holding the ball well. A couple of first half saves from the keeper James Quantock keeping them out in both left and right bottom corners kept them in the game.

The first goal came from Harry Collins, with the ball being transferred out to Alex out on the wing, Alex then touching the ball out of his feet fires the ball across to Harry who tucks it in comfortably from close range.

The next goal came from Reegan Scotcher who was put through with a dinked through ball, then tucking under the keeper. The third goal from Mr Collins, put though on goal he showed composure to hit the ball in and off the post. In the dying minutes of the first half Harry Collins won a free kick, taking it himself and scoring from 25yards over the keeper. The half ended 4 – 0 to 3A's.

Second half became quiet with subs being made. The Level 2's managed to get one back with a deflected goal of Sam Murray who was perfect with Ashton Rogers at the back. Then out of the blue Liam Chinn, one of the new boys to the group, took his opportunity well under pressure and tucks it in for 5 – 1. The game ended at that with Harry Collins man of the match picking up the match ball.

On 11th November both Level 3 Coaching Football in Community Settings groups played each other ending in a 3 – 1 victory for L3Bs. The game started with opportunities at both ends. Dan Ashdown proved his class with saves 1 on 1 against Harry Collins.

The Level 3B's took the lead after great work in midfield winning the ball in the air and playing a through ball to Ryan Jeffries who scored his first of the season after a well-placed shot across the keeper who had no chance.

In the second half straight from the start, 3B's showed that they want to win even more after motivational speech from their manager at half time. Then the 3B's manager had to make some tactical changes to strengthen the defence and added more pace on the wings. Ryan Jeffries scored his second of the game after a great counter attack, which proved that all the hard work in training pays off.

3B's were all over the 3A's and this resulted in a magnificent hat trick for Ryan Jeffries after good work from the wingers. 3B's were very hard done by on several occasions by the referee because there should have been at least 2 penalties given to them. Man of the match went to Dan 'Cech' Ashdown.
