Redcoats celebrate end of year training with awards - Bridgwater & Taunton College

Bridgwater College were incredibly proud to be a part of the ‘Because I’m Happy Awards’ at the Butlins resort in Minehead. These Awards marked the end of a fantastic first year of training and collaboration between the College and the holiday resort.

These Awards commemorate the success of the employees in all areas of the resort from catering and security through to entertainment, in the role they play in providing hard-working families the perfect holiday they deserve. A year ago Bridgwater College enrolled the first ever Redcoats on to a BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Performing Arts and were thrilled to celebrate all 13 students gaining their qualification at the award ceremony last week.

Kat Stevens who delivers the BTEC at Minehead said,

“It was wonderful to be able to recognise the achievements of the students in such a public way along with their peers from other areas of the business. The course has been a great success largely due to the enthusiastic and positive members of staff along with their energy and dedication to the qualification. All this was achieved whilst they fulfilled their already demanding work schedules.”

Bridgwater College hopes to continue and enhance its relationship with the company in the coming years. For more information about studying Performing Arts at Bridgwater College contact our Information and Guidance team on 01278 441234.
