17 A Level Chemistry students from Bridgwater College recently took part in The International Chemistry Olympiad.

The competition sees students from all over the world solve high level and demanding chemistry tasks. Seven of the College students achieved a silver certificate, seven were awarded a bronze certificate and three received participation certificates.

Divya Benny, 18, from Weston-super-Mare who achieved a bronze award said,

“It was a challenge, so I decided to give it a go and do the test. It was definitely worth it.”

Emily Robinson, 18, from Weston-super-Mare who also achieved a bronze award said,

“It was definitely a challenge, but it was exciting to see our A Level knowledge applied in practice.”
