Students studying Motorsport, together with apprentices in Light Vehicle, embarked on the six day residential, which included a visit to Montjuïc, a ride on a cable car across Barcelona’s port, a ‘selfie trail’ of Barcelona’s main sights and attractions, a trip to Portaventura, the experience of the awesome La Font Màgica de Montjuïc and three days at the F1.

Charlie Edwards, 17, from Somerton who studies the Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Light Vehicle said,

“This was a really good experience; we found out about the new F1 engines and the technology used. The trip built my confidence as I got to use the metro, read maps and find my own way around Barcelona.”

Wendy Blacker, Programme Manager said,

“The students were amazing and thoroughly enjoyed the hot and sunny action-packed week. We will be returning next year to experience the MOTO GP.”
