Automotive students from Bridgwater College have recently returned from a four day study tour to Munich, where they learned about the latest automotive developments.
Students visited the MIPA paint factory, BMW Museum, BMW Welt (World) and participated in a BMW factory tour of facilities and processes. They also sampled the city’s architecture and culture, including the 1972 Olympic Park.
Lewis McGrath, 19, from Dorset said,
“The BMW headquarters was an incredible experience! Seeing how cars are made properly in the factory will help my studies no end, as I could see first-hand detailed things, such as how the cars are welded together and how the paint is made.”
Jon Proctor, 26, from Devon said,
“The BMW factory gave a good real life insight into the new technologies that will be integrated into future road vehicles.”
