Sixty seven Bridgwater College staff have recently achieved their Fire Warden qualifications.
The staff development activity means that Fire Wardens at each of the College’s Centres are fully prepared to execute their roles in ensuring the safety of all students and staff on site.
The staff completed an intensive training course, which included expert tuition and practical tasks, culminating in a Level 2 examination. All College staff passed the qualification and they are now sharing information on fire risks, hazards and good practice across the College.
Sue Stoodley, Staff Resource & Development Manager at the College said,
“Bridgwater College is committed to high quality training investment in our staff. The knowledge and skills that staff gained from this training will further improve the health and safety practices at the College and this can only be of benefit to staff, students and visitors.”
Gail Burfitt, Commercial Health & Safety Training Manager at the College added,
“The College has a range of high quality health and safety training courses available to all sectors. We are committed to working with all types of businesses to help identify and train staff on a variety of health and safety training topics.”
