Who is the course for?
This course is for individuals seeking to develop their skills within the creative crafts industry. It is suitable for young men and women with various skills and an interest in the subject. You will need to enjoy working in a practical way and within a team. You will also need to be keen to train both at work and at college.
What does the course involve?
There will be many aspects covered within each apprenticeship and each workplace will vary, but mainly they will include:
- Creating bespoke creative products
- Generating ideas and problem solving
- Working to specifications
- Costing and marketing products
- Dealing with customers
Most jobs combine a number of aspects, but whichever job you choose to do your NVQ will be structured so that the training matches your job. All training will be done on site and you will only come into college for functional skills.

- GCSE grades A – C or 9 - 4

How long is the course?
The Apprenticeship ends when you have completed all of the necessary components of the course. This may take up to two years (minimum of one year).
