This course will give you the essential safety and technical knowledge required for a career in the power distribution industry.

Work placements are not offered as part of this course.
You should already be employed in the industry and be working at Level 1 or above in English. You should have a GCSE grade C or above in Mathematics and Science or another qualification at Level 2 with sufficient Mathematics/Science disciplines.
What are the assessment methods?
The qualification is assessed through a combination of multiple choice tests and short answer assessment papers.
How long is the course?One year.
What are the College attendance requirements?
The attendance pattern is ‘block release’ and would typically be 3 blocks of 4 weeks each. During each block you will be required to attend college 5 days per week.
What are the progression options?
This qualification forms the knowledge component of the Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard Power Network Craftsperson.
