Who is the course for?
Does the thought of using a computer to do anything make you nervous? Do you want a short course where you get useful training on how to survive using a computer to do things such as send email or write a letter? We can help you with the basics, through to more complex tasks. This course is aimed at the beginner who may want to just learn how to use the basics, or for someone who may want to progress onto a qualification later on such as our European Computer Driving Licence courses.
What does the course involve?
You will learn a variety of topics from safe starting and shutting down of the computer to the use of email, word processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing and database software – the course is designed to fit around your needs.

You will have access to our excellent computer facilities and expertise to fully explore the capabilities of a computer over the 5 week course. This course is designed as an introduction to computers and those wanting to progress can do so onto the next course at the next level – ECDL(European Computer Driving Licence).

You will be assessed through a series of practical tasks tailored to your requirements.
