Who is the course for?
This course is for anyone interested in learning the analysis side of motorsport data acquisition systems.
The course involves four sessions, the first is an understanding of the hardware used and why we would want to use these systems along with an inspection of the physical hardware that is fitted on a race car. The second session covers the use of particular software and how to navigate and analyse this work. The third session will cover the use of Maths channels and additional features of Data Analysis software. On the fourth session you will complete an assessment using a piece of data accompanied with a test paper.
What makes this course special?
The course will use one of our computer suites to study a piece of data logging software which is industry standard (Aim). Data will be taken from one of the college race cars to analyse and produce conclusions from what has been found.

The final assessment is a task using a piece of data logging software and a test paper.
How long is the course?
The course is four weeks long and the weekly sessions are 3 ¼ hours.
What are the College attendance requirements?
The course will run over 4x 3¼ hour evening sessions across four weeks. All sessions must be attended in order to gain college certification.

Learners may consider enrolling on our full time L3 or Foundation Degree Motorsport courses providing that suitable entry criteria is met.
