Who is the course for?

A creative pottery course suitable for beginners and those with some experience eager to work with clay in our newly refurbished ceramics workshop.

What does the course involve?

The course will include making pinch, slab and coil pots and a press moulded dish.  You will also have the opportunity to fire and glaze all of your work.  For those that have been on previous courses the range of tasks undertaken weekly will vary to take into account previous experience.

What makes this course special?

This subsidised pottery course makes good use of our purpose built ceramics workshop and highly qualified staff. It provides a great opportunity to explore the creative potential of clay.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements excepting an enthusiasm to work with clay.

Are there any additional costs for the course?

The course cost includes the first kilo of clay. Further clay can be purchased (at cost) from the college charged per kilo (or part of) and will include the glazes and firing costs. 

What are the progression options?

We will be running weekly evening classes this academic year which will run for a three terms.
