Who is the course for?
ATA is a voluntary assessment programme developed to identify properly trained and highly skilled professionals working in the retail motor industry. It has the backing of major vehicle manufacturers, independent service and repair organisations and The Institute of The Motor Industry (IMI), the sector skills council for the retail motor industry.
- All materials and consumables will be provided by the College.
- Refreshments will be provided by the College.
- The candidates will need to bring their own protective clothing and footwear
What are the assessment methods?
To become an accredited service maintenance technician, candidates must pass a series of six practical assessments and an online knowledge test. Each assessment has an allocated time in which to complete the task.
How long is the course?
The assessment lasts for one day.
