Who is the course for?
This course is for parents of teenagers (or approaching teenagers) who are keen to explore a range of parenting startegies and options in order to cope better with the inevitable challenges that living with teenagers presents. It might be particularly relevant to parents of teenagers who have ASD traits.
What makes this course special?
This course provides lots of practical ideas and suggestions for dealing with daily life with the aim of keeping life on an even keel. It will also provide space for group discussions and reflections on incidences at home without fear of judgement.
You will need teenage children or preteen children.
What are the assessment methods?
This course is not formally assessed but there will be an expectation that strategies discussed within the group are employed at home and that feedback on how well they worked is part of the weekly routinue.
How long is the course?
This course is two hours and fifteen minutes a week for 6 weeks.
