Course Information

Who is the course for?

A beginners course introducing part modelling, detail drawing, basic assembly modelling, using the latest  version of SolidWorks. Learners will also be able to produce simple component models, assemblies and engineering drawings, applying materials and creating photo renders.

What does the course involve?

Candidates will learn how to produce 3D modelled parts, component assemblies, detailed drawings, and much more including rendered images, exploded views and applying material attributes to name a few. Learners will have access to our specialist CAD lab and the step-by-step handbook is the learners to take away at the end of the course or to use in practice at home.

What makes this course special?

Learners will have the opportunity to turn their drawings into reality by producing a prototype solid model of their designs on our 3D printer, the very latest in 3D technology (small additional charge applies, based on volume of model to be produced).
