Who is the course for?
A beginner's course covering drawing set-up, 2D drawing techniques, editing, isometric drawing and plotting. The training results in the completion of six engineering drawings to BS8888, which will be checked against NVQ competencies.
What does the course involve?
Learners will go from the initial stages of constructing simple diagrams through to being able to produce and edit full production drawings. Learners will learn how to produce two dimensional images and to use AutoCAD to produce a variety of drawings with the aid of step by step tutorials.
What makes this course special?
Learners will be using the latest edition of AutoCAD which is the most extensively used 2D CAD software package in industry. The course is delivered in our dedicated and recently upgraded CAD teaching rooms with access to the software that runs from our specially upgraded PCs as well as access to a comprehensive set of online notes and self-tutoring guides.
No previous CAD experience or qualifications are required - just an interest in using CAD and some basic knowledge of how to operate a PC and a commitment to attend.
