Who is the course for?

This course is for learners who have completed a level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Body repair Principles or Vehicle Accident Repair Paint Principles.

What does the course involve?

Topics covered will include:

  • advanced health and safety
  • body repair technologies
  • practices to include vehicle misalignment rectification
  • Paint technologies and application techniques with various coatings
  • airbrushing
  • custom paint finishes

What makes this course special?

This course gives learners the opportunity to gain a recognised trade qualification without the need for full employment, using our excellent modern and fully equipped workshops and classroom facilities. Individuals will also work as a team on the Vehicle Body Enhancement Project.

Entry Requirements

You will need to have completed a level 2 Programme in either Vehicle Accident Body Repair Principles or Vehicle Accident Repair Paint Principles.

You will also need safety boots and overalls for all workshop activities (which will be included within your enrolment cost).

What are the assessment methods?

Learners will be assessed through practical tasks, written phase tests, course work and online assessment tests for each unit.

How long is the course?

One Year.

What are the progression options?

Students may like to progress to a Level 4 course in Automotive studies, or seek employment in the industry or apprenticeship studying on an NVQ programme. There are also opportunities for additionally within our commercial centre.
