The Yeovil Centre moved to its current location on the same campus as Lufton College in 2008, enabling students to benefit from much improved facilities and access to a wide range of outdoor activities.
The Centre is newly equipped with a range of specialist resources. These ensure animal care students have access to a wide range of animals including livestock, domestic pets, birds and even exotics, which are accommodated in a specialist Tropical Room.
This facility allows students to learn how to safely and ethically maintain a collection, while keeping it fully visible to the public. Floristry students benefit from well-equipped classrooms and practical facilities. All students have access to IT resources.

What our students say
“The Centre has an impressive variety of animals to work with and the teachers are very experienced, on top of that the Centre is small and so we all have good access to support and regular one to one tutorials. I have a passion for animals and this course is giving me the foundation to allow me access onto a range of university courses and help me achieve my dream of being a zoo keeper.”
Michael Robinson, former pupil of Neville Lovett Community School in Fareham, Hampshire, is studying the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management.
