Applying to study a course at College may seem daunting but we’re here to help support you in making the right choice and inform you of the options and opportunities available to you as a student.
We strongly recommend that you enrol for our advertised courses as soon as possible. This will ensure you get a place and help us assess whether we have sufficient numbers for the course to commence on the start date listed. We aim to run all of the courses advertised, however we do need a minimum number of enrolments on each class to make this possible.
The best way to join a course is to complete either the online application or enrolment form. You can find links to these on each course page. However if you would prefer to complete an application form by hand, please do so and return it to the College, or call our Information and Guidance team on 01278 441234 and they will send you one.
Please note, that some courses may require you to complete an application form first and then attend an interview before you can enrol. Depending on the type of course and start date, there may also be options to enrol/apply online, or a telephone number for joining the course.
Courses marked Apply require you to complete an application form. You can do this online via the course page or by completing the form by hand and sending it back to us. Once we have received your application we will arrange an interview with the subject tutor to ensure that the course is right for you.
To apply online, click the Apply button at the bottom of the course information page, you will then be able to complete and submit the form directly to us.
If you would prefer to complete the application form by hand, please download the form or alternatively call our Information and Guidance team on 01278 441234 and they will send one to you. Return the form fully completed to, Information & Guidance Team, Bridgwater College, Bath Road, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 4PZ.
Courses marked Enrol require you to complete an enrolment form and provide payment for the course. If you can enrol directly for a course, there will be a link for online enrolment on the course page. Alternatively, you can complete an enrolment form by hand or enrol in person, or over the telephone with our Information and Guidance team.
To enrol online, click the button at the bottom of the course information page, then follow the steps to complete the enrolment. To enrol online you must be aged 19 or over, have been resident in the UK for the past three years, and able to pay in full by credit or debit card.
If you wish to complete an enrolment form by hand you can visit our Information & Guidance Team at our Bridgwater Centre (located next to reception). Please note you will need to make a full patment at the time of enrolment by cash, cheque or credit/debit card.
If you wish to enrol over the telephone, please call the Information & Guidance team on 01278 441234 between the hours of 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Fridays, during term time. You will need to have the course details to hand plus the debit or credit card you wish to charge your course against.
Please note: if you are eligible for a fee remission, you will need to enrol in person so that you can sign to prove you are eligible, and we may need to see evidence. Contact us on 01278 441234 to find out which documents you will need to provide.
Courses marked Telephone require you to call 01278 441234. For some courses, particularly those with flexible start dates, you will need to call to obtain further information. Courses will run on demand, so by registering your interest with us, it helps us to determine the popularity of our courses, when we can run them and how often.
