Bridgwater & Taunton College is located in the heart of Somerset, with main centres in Bridgwater, Taunton and Cannington. It also has outreach centres in Yeovil and Paignton.

The College is open weekdays and evenings in term time and in the weekdays during the holidays. It is only closed during the Christmas break.
Term Time Opening Hours
- Monday 8.30am – 7pm
- Tuesday 8.30am – 9pm
- Wednesday 8.30am – 9pm
- Thursday 8.30am – 9pm
- Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm
Lessons for full-time students are timetabled between 9am and 4.30pm; these are the times when buses arrive and depart the College premises. Staff are on site from 8.30am until 5pm Monday to Thursday and until 4.30pm Fridays. During term time there is a day duty manager and evening duty manager, who is available until 9pm.

Bridgwater & Taunton College caters for more than 15,000 full and part-time students and employs more than 1,000 staff. The student population comprises approximately 3,500 16 – 18 year olds, as well as 700 students following higher education programmes. There is a growing international community, with students studying from over 35 different countries. Bridgwater & Taunton College is a leading provider of business training to employers across Somerset and have an excellent track record in providing certificated and bespoke training solutions for the business community.
There is an extensive curriculum, which covers the three key areas of:
- Arts & Technology
- A Levels, Professional & Foundation Studies
- Land-based, Business & Sports
There is also significant provision for students with additional learning needs. The College caters for all levels of study, from Year 10 and 11 school pupils attending on link and Diploma courses, right through to full Honours degree programmes. It is also one of a few Colleges outside the private sector to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
A significant investment programme means the College facilities are constantly developing. In recent years the College has invested:
- £8 million into its newest venture The McMillan Theatre
- £8 million on a state-of-the-art Energy Skills Centre
- £7 million in the Health & Fitness Centre
- £3 million to build the Agriculture and Innovation Centre
- £2 million on a new Animal Management Centre
- £1 million to develop and build the Construction Skills and Innovation Centre
