Bridgwater College Academy programmes
Welcome to our Academies! Currently we have eleven academies in total: four academies within Performing Arts and seven academies within Sport.
Academies offer students the opportunity to pursue their performance or sporting aspirations alongside academic or vocational qualifications. Selection is on a competitive basis and by audition or trials, and very much dependant on your skills, motivation and commitment.
Benefits vary depending on the Academy, but in Performing Arts you would expect to get free expert tuition, professional rehearsals and numerous performance experiences, which have previously included radio and television appearances. In Sport, there is a nominal fee, for which you receive access to all sports facilities including the gym, professional coaching, fitness testing and sports performance support, personalised kit, opportunities to trial for representative teams and/or compete in local and regional competitions.
