What our Students say
Levi Burge, is studying the Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media.
“I was one of the original members of the Academy and I am so pleased with the way it is expanding and developing. I’m the Project Manager and am currently overseeing a number of internal projects and creating a portfolio for future clients to view. It has been great working with live briefs and having a high work load as it prepares you for future work, especially as I want to go on to do an Apprenticeship after College.”
Arthur Dickson-Bell, is studying the Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media.
“I wanted to join the Academy to get workplace experience, which has been great so far. As the Design School is a small group, it means we are able to get stuck in with a lot of projects which I would never have had the opportunity to do before. I’ve been able to put my Graphics and Art at A Level to good use and it will all look great when I start applying for Apprenticeships at the end of my course.”
Design School Leader Nicola Baldegger
“I have worked in the Graphic Design industry for 23 years and have experience in all aspects of Graphic Design, from print to photography to reprographics. I have worked on promotional designs for a number of high profile clients and in a range of industries from sports to West End theatre in London. After being inspired to teach following my own experiences as a Design student, I joined Bridgwater College. I love working with the Media Academy as it combines my love of teaching as well as commercial experience.”
Daniel Hawthorne, Drama Academy Director
“Using Media Academy for the posters and marketing video for the Drama Academy’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream was a great success. It gave the project a thoroughly professional feel and the company was delighted with the attention to detail given by Levi and Nic. We are looking to use them again this year as the service they gave was one of a bespoke nature and through effective communication we developed a product in keeping with the design element of the production, which we will look to improve on and repeat this year.”
